Welcome to OCOSS 2010
Ocean & Coastal Observation: Sensors and Systems.
La version française est disponible en cliquant sur le drapeau Français en haut et à droite de la page.
The aim of this conference is to review recent breakthroughs and future developments devoted to technical innovations in the field of ocean and sea observations according to the European Aberdeen statement and French “Grenelle de la Mer” frameworks.
The conference will cover a wide spectrum from physical oceanography (waves, tides, currents, thermocline, turbidity, …) to marine geosciences, meteorology and climatology, environmental and coastal ecosystems monitoring, optimization of halieutic resources, support to exploration and exploitation of the oceans (offshore platforms, marine energy: swell, wind, thermal, oil, …), bottom topography (bathymetry, imaging, geology, …), spatial oceanography, underwater robotic systems, civil maritime detection and control systems, METOC systems and military information and naval forces command systems.
All these themes will be reviewed in the following eight topics:
- Sensors for Environmental Ecosystem Assessment: Multiscales & Multi-physics Models
- Operating Environment Assessment for EM, EO/IR & Acoustic Sensors
- Remote sensing technics, Processing and data management
- METOC (Meteorology Oceanography) Systems
- Underwater, Onshore/offshore & airborne observation platforms
- Safety & Security Surveillance Systems for Sea and Harbors
- Awareness System and risk management
- Practical Access to the Frequency Spectrum
The Program menu gives all details on the contents of these topics.
Deadlines for abstract and final paper submission are the following:
- Abstract: March 15, 2010 Extended to March 31, 2010
- Acceptance notification: April 15, 2010
- Final paper upload: May 15, 2010 Extended to May 21, 2010
